Why We Created Listen Up Therapy
OUR STORY - Therapy for Everybody
We all have unique life journeys, challenges to face, and lessons to learn. Along the way, we encounter powerful tools to support our mental well-being. At Listen Up Therapy, we believe therapy is for everybody—it’s just about finding the right match for you.
Our founders, Matthew and Belinda, each faced their own personal challenges and discovered different paths toward balance and well-being:
Matthew’s journey focused on psychotherapeutic counselling, with meditation as a supportive tool. Belinda’s path centred around meditation and meditative philosophy, shifting her mindset and approach to life.
Through their experiences, they realised that therapy and meditation together create a powerful foundation for personal growth. Meditation cultivates self-awareness, emotional balance, and mental clarity, allowing us to observe our patterns with a fresh perspective. Psychotherapy and counselling provide a safe space for reflection, healing, and personal transformation.
Meditation can help us pause, centre, and ground ourselves when life feels overwhelming. It also serves as a valuable tool before and after therapy, allowing deeper integration of the work done in sessions.
Listen Up Therapy was founded on the belief that everyone deserves to be heard, supported, and understood. We provide a safe and welcoming space for self-exploration, healing, and growth.
By combining therapy, meditation, and mentoring, we help you navigate life’s challenges, develop emotional resilience, and create lasting change.
Listen Up represents our therapy sessions—offering a space for open dialogue and healing.
Listen In represents our meditation offerings—helping you develop inner awareness and stillness
